7/09/2018 || Meeting with Alex Cecchetti at Palais de Tokyo
7 September (Friday)
Palais de Tokyo
"Tamam Shud" is an artist's novel published by Sternbers Press and U–jazdowski. It is the effect of episodes of performance realized in Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art between 2016 and 2017. An excerpt of the novel has been published in Obieg issue 4. "Performance now".
"Tamam Shud" tells a story of an artist who discovers that he is dead. Not knowing the reason of his own death he decides to investigate its causes. The only clue is a piece of paper with the words "Tamam Shud" ("this is the end) found in his trousers sewn in pocket. But the narrative is not only a story of an individual, it is a reflection on intertwining of life and death as a way to understand what "existence" really is. "Tamam Shud" is an intriguing story, but it is also an example of marvelous graphic design (by Jakub de Barbaro) that complements the whole project.
This Fridays, at Palais de Tokyo, Paris a meeting with Alex Cecchetti. an artist, poet, choreographer, and writer, will take place. The author will sign copies of his new book.
